RESEARCH

The key areas of my research so far, have been high-throughput image analysis, machine learning and novelty detection. More specifically, my PhD thesis aims at developing efficient statistical methodology for the analysis of high-content cancer cell imaging data sets. These data are typically generated in drug screening experiments conducted in a 3D cell culture environment and often consist of thousands of multicellular structures with complex morphologies. Powerful analysis methodology is needed to transform these large amounts of raw image data into meaningful information on cancer behaviour, treatment effects and ultimately, the study results.
