Assumed knowledge: Evolutionary and quantitative genetics (BIOL2071), Evolutiivisen ekologian perusteet (BIOL2080), tilastotiede geneetikoille, regular attendance the co-running ‘genetics of natural populations (lectures)’
Mode of assessment: Attendance at all laboratory sessions and writing of a laboratory report
Aims and content: This hands-on course aims to give students practical experience with some of the laboratory methods used in the study of natural populations such as DNA extraction, microsatellite analysis and parentage testing.
