Fieldwork at the River Selja and Valgejögi, Estonia.

Cleaning the gravel and bottom of the river. Planting newly fertilized salmon eggs.

River Valgejögi during winter: sampling Witlock-Vibert egg-boxes in January with -20 degrees Celsius. Notice anchor ice in the bottom of the river.

Whitlock-Vibert box with live eyed embryos. Stocking of unfed salmon fry using plastic containers filled with gravel.

 

Test fishing and picnic on the riverbank. The direct outcome of the previous work: one-summer old salmon and brown trout.
