History
BitSoft was known before as Shack Productions, but we decided to change our
name because the new name sounds better. We started our first project in 1994,
which was a graphical presentasion (Demo) for school party. After that we made
another demo during the year 1996, but it wasn't a huge success so we decided to
focus making games. After that we have "published" several more or less good
games. After graduating from highschool there were almost two years without any
publishes.
The Present
Nowadays we are back in business. We have one game deveploment project
almost ready and another one is beginning. There are (again) three members in our group,
two coders (me included) and graphician. Our new games will use Windows 95/98/2000 and Directx6.1 as platform.
Future
Our next publish will be TankWar - a 2.5D game. It's goal is to make a good multiplayer game for
people who like fast action and fast destruction. It's like Unreal Tournament in 2D with tanks. TankWar will also
be our last <3D game.
General info
This section gives information about the tools we are using to make our games. This information is directed
mostly to other games developers and people who are interested in game developing.
For coding we are using Watcom C/C++ 11.0 Integrated Deveploment Environment. Watcom is a
multiplatform compiler, it means that with software you can make programs for
several operating systems. It is also known as a extremely efficient codemaker - it is probably the best
optimizing C/C++ compiler ever made.
Graphics are made with several programs - many known rendering and conventional
drawing programs.
Our musician uses several known sound effect editors and of course FastTracker II - the best
module editor ever made.
