Optical polarization monitoring of OJ 287

The figures below show the results of the polarization monitoring of OJ 287. The observations were made either in the R-band or without a filter (labeled "Open") using the Calar Alto 2.2 m telescope, the 2.56 m NOT telescope and the 60 cm KVA telescope on La Palma.

The aim of these observations is to compare the polarization state of OJ 287 during and between the major outbursts that occur at roughly 12 year intervals.
