The white colored
areas in the head do not match the patterns of a smew. Note that the white areas are not pure white but appears mottled. It appears that
nothing else points towards a smew. The shape of the bill, the yellowish
bill tip, the pale eye, the shape of the head all point toward a Common
goldeneye. Open wings were not seen. Voice not heard. Images zoomed to 150%.

Lintu ilmoitettiin aluksi naaras telkkä x uivelo -ristymänä. Suurimman osan
aikaa linti oli yksin, mutta silloin tällöin uiskenteli telkkien naaraiden kanssa.
Pään valkoiset alueet eivät sovi yhteen naaras uivelon kanssa. Huomaa että valkoiset alueet eivät ole valkoisia, vaan niissä on tummempaa tuhrua. Itse asiassa mikään ei oikeastaan viittaa uiveloon. Nokan muoto, keltainen nokan kärki, vaalea silmä ja pään muoto kaikki viittaavat telkkään. Auki olevia siipiä en nähnyt. Ääntä ei kuultu. Kuvia suurennettu kertoimella 150%.
