Current Position<\/h3>\n
I am a university lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Turku, Finland.<\/p>\n
Research Interests<\/h3>\n
My main research interests are the following.<\/p>\n
- \n
- \nDynamics of cellular automata, in particular long-term dynamics.
\nI have studied different notions of nilpotency, limit sets and randomization in one-dimensional infinite cellular automata.<\/p>\n - \nMultidimensional symbolic dynamics, in particular relations between the structure and computability of shift spaces.
\nI have studied structural properties of various classes of shifts of finite type and sofic shifts.<\/p>\n - \nUses of computational methods in the theory of discrete dynamical systems.
\nI co-develop Diddy<\/a>, a software package for multidimensional symbolic dynamics and cellular automata theory.\n<\/ul>\nTeaching<\/h3>\n
