2020-2023
I participated in the project Mobility of Words and Places of Knowledge: Learned Communities in Early Nineteenth-Century Finland, led by Heli Rantala. It was funded by the Kone Foundation. The project explored ”the world of books in the cities of Turku, Porvoo and Viborg by focusing on the circulation and availability of printed works in three different localities. By examining different practices around books, we are interested in how printed works and reading created learned communities in the early nineteenth century”. https://sanojenliike.utu.fi/
In this project, I have focused on two topics: the life and work of Friedrich Anton Meyer (1771-1831), a German-Jewish bookseller in early 19th-century Turku, and the library of the Porvoo Secondary School. Our current undertaking involves writing a non-fiction book on the learned literary culture of early 19th-century Finland. My own texts relate to the relationship between science and books, to marginalia, to the libraries of the period and to book series.
2017-2020
I was on the editorial board for the Turku University Library’s centennial publication. In this commemorative volume, I contributed an article discussing the evolution of information organization in academic libraries throughout the 20th century
2012-2016
I served on the steering committee for a project aimed at researching and cataloguing the historic collection of the Turku City Library. This collection, primarily assembled during the latter half of the 19th century, encompasses manuscripts and printed works dating back to the 16th century and beyond. The project was funded by the Finnish Cultural Foundation, Varsinais-Suomi Regional Fund.

2013-2015
I ledd a team that conducted a multidisciplinary analysis of the Mercator-Hondius Atlas, published in 1613, examining it through the lenses of book history, cartographic history, and linguistic history. The result was the publication Tracing circulations: The case of the Mercator-Hondius atlas (1613). https://www.doria.fi/handle/10024/136503
