I began with the thesis in the beginning of 2016 during my one year job alternation leave. The plan was to get as many mandatory courses finished of the required amount of 60 ECTS. It went quite well, since I now have over 32 ETCS finished.
In the research I have finalized the first article ”Political areas of competition in Southwest Finland: A cluster analysis of parliamentary election data from three levels of aggregation” with my co-writer Tommi Meskanen. The article was published in December 2018. I have started to collect and aggregate data for the next article.
My job alternation leave ended at Christmas 2016 and after that I have been advancing the research together with a day job. I wish it would not slow down the project too much. The work continues – slowly but steadily.
