Janne Skaffari is a lecturer at the Department of English, University
of Turku, Finland. He teaches grammar, the history of English, oral
communication and various linguistically and/or historically
oriented courses. In his research he focuses on language contacts and
medieval English; another major interest is descriptive grammar as taught
in higher education. Janne is the author of Studies in Early Middle English Loanwords: Norse and French Influences, and a number of articles. Moreover, he is the co-editor of Instructional Writing in English, Opening Windows on Texts and Discourses of the Past, Discourse Perspectives on English: Medieval and Modern, and The Language of the Peterborough Chronicle. |
